That is kind of unusual. Maybe the spur recently became owned by CSX and the previous railroad installed the crossing equipment?

Actually, I think CSX may have very briefly experimented with WCH e-bells. We have a few spur crossings here in Alabama with WCH e-bells, one of which is an all WCH set-up!

And then there's this one that also had a WCH e-bell, but it was replaced by a Safetran mechanical bell:

Though all of them were installed at different times. The all-WCH install ones were from the early 2000s, it appears. The ones ZachL posted appear to be from around 2010, and the ones in Calera were installed in the past few years.
They/Them for me, please.

Interesting how they seem to be all on crossings that are located on spurs.

This crossing was just activating the moment GSV was about to cross.

Seconds before activation.

As we move to the next image, the North signal lights begin to activate.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.7339525 ... 312!8i6656
One giant step for mankind, both signals are activated.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.7340099 ... 312!8i6656
As we look at the track, it looks to be a Norfolk Southern train.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.7340782 ... 312!8i6656
The gates are now descending.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.7343088 ... 312!8i6656
Partial No Train Horn Zone.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.7507902 ... 312!8i6656
I also wonder why this base is really long. The GSV is also glitched.

Posted that a little while back.

A few quad-gate crossings in that partial quiet-zone. It's also the only one I'm aware of anywhere in the country.

The other signal was probably active as well, it was probably caught in mid-flash.

That train looks pretty far from the crossing, they probably go pretty fast through that crossing. Norfolk Southern does own that crossing, although the train looks to be too far away to be able to tell what it is even though it probably is Norfolk Southern.

Looks like this guy was fixing a crooked crossbuck at this scale model train place in Traralgon, VIC. (Which I visited briefly when we stopped for lunch while on the way to a school camping trip in 2012).

That is a pretty cool miniature railway! I like it when miniature railways use full size equipment even if it is just crossbucks.
