Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights and a Safetran Type-3 e-bell.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights and a Safetran Type-3 e-bell.

This crossing is actually one of only three gate-less crossings in the city of Decatur.
They/Them for me, please.

*originally recorded on 12-31-19*

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, and a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs and a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell.

After Y101 crossed through Vine Street #1, I went over to Vine Street #2 to catch them picking-up some cars from the interchange yard to take back to Oakworth Yard.

In the two years since I last recorded this crossing in action (yes, it's really been that long!), NS has upgraded this crossing to LED. Interestingly enough, like Vine Street #1, most of the LEDs here seem to have come from CSX as they're mostly Leotek EV Series LEDs, which NS doesn't really use. However, there is a pair of GE Uniform Look LEDs mixed in on the rear overhead lights of the cantilever signal, which is nice to see. The mast signal was also done well before the cantilever signal was. Not entirely sure why, but I suspect it was due to them not having enough LEDs to upgrade the cantilever signal at the same time as the mast signal.
