I'm getting some ideas on how to make some GS/US&S/Safetran type 2 electronic bells for HO scale, but I need to get some dimensions first.
I'm sure Elton or Rich can answer this question pretty easily...
If you open the top of the bell, what is the dimension of the PVC pipe used to hold the electrics inside?
GS bell width?

Re: GS bell width?
It's 5" or 6" PVC pipe...not exactly sure which one it is...
I can measure it for you tomorrow if you'd like.

Re: GS bell width?
Okay. I tried getting some measurements from other bells too, and they do provide thickness and height, but not much else.
I'm getting some ideas in my head about how to make those kinds of bells very easy like, and I do need some ideas.
For instance, width and height are needed, as well as the sides of bells, and how many (I think it is 2 or 3, but I'm not sure).
I tried measuring the heights down to 1/87 scale, and they seem to be too small to fit. Any suggestions there?
