Segers Road, Huntsville, AL
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type-2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
I finally got a recording of this crossing! Unsurprisingly, the bell is a General Signals Type 2.

Re: Segers Road, Huntsville, AL
*originally recorded on 9-6-21*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
On September 6th, I went to go get my car washed, and after I had done so, I decided to hop out to this crossing to see about recording it again, since it was the last crossing in the county I needed to rerecord. As such, I set-up here, and waited. Thankfully, after at least one and a half hours of waiting, NS 732 came flying through with a solid set of BNSF SD70ACes pulling and pushing. This was the only train I caught on this day, but I also only wanted to get one, lol. The crew on this train was also friendly and gave me a horn salute, which was nice.
Since I last recorded this crossing, NS has done a few upgrades here. First, it appears that they replaced both gate arms, giving the far signal a new set of NEG gate lights in the process, though the closer signal kept its set of RECO gate lights. Then at some point, NS replaced the relay case here with a newer one. Believe this was the result of the new Toyota/Mazda plant going in over there at Greenbrier, as, IIRC, the crossing in Belle Mina had its relay case replaced for the same reason. Other than that though, this crossing remains unchanged, and I believe also the only one in Limestone County (and now also the only one in Huntsville) with Invensys Rail gate mechs.
