My crossing bell
here are some pics of a WRRS model 222 crossing bell i got from a Union Pacific employee in Springfield.

That's awesome. Would be cool to know what crossing that may have come from... but it may not have been one from here in Springfield.
That must have been fun lugging that thing back to AZ!

That crossing was updated last winter sometime and now has brand new WCH equipment with gates. Too bad Streetview doesn't have a better zoom feature. That could be the same one though.

I highly doubt it came from that crossing, a guy in the ridgly tower gave it to me, he said up untill a few years ago they hooked it up at the tower to let them know when a train came a certent distance away. The bell had a lock on it and he said the key was lost long ago, and they had no use for it.
BTW i left the bell in Illinois with my grandparents, i wish i could have taken it back but that would have been a pain in the a**.
