*originally recorded on 2-8-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

After I caught 179, I knew there was likely to be at least two more trains approaching, so I decided to head back up to this crossing just south of Steele to wait for the next one. After a bit of waiting, I was able to get my fourth train of the day here: NS 355 with an AC44C6M pulling on the head-end, and another AC44C6M working as the mid-train DPU rolling past at right about sunset.

This crossing is a pretty decent one, featuring another pair of gated signals installed by NS back in the early-2000s. Like with plenty of others on this line, the signals here do still retain their original gate arms, though both were restriped with newer vertical striping at some point. A bit of the original diagonal striping can be seen near the bases of both arms, however. Thankfully, nothing else too major seems to have changed here since these signals were installed, and both signals are still completely incandescent as a result.
