*originally recorded on 2-22-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO gate lights, and a RECO LED gate light.

After starting my day off with CSX M585, I continued on up to this crossing on the south side of Dayton to start-off the CNO&TP South District with. After a little while of waiting, I was able to catch my second train of the day: NS 345 with a pair of ET44ACs for power. Definitely not the most interesting lash-up out there, though I believe this is the first time I've ever shot an NS train with only ET44ACs for power.
You can also hear the Dayton DD just to the north of this crossing reading-out for the train as well.

This crossing's a pretty nice one, featuring a nice late-90s NS install that's still almost fully original! Both of the gate arms and the gate lights here were replaced at some point, but thankfully everything else is still original to when it was initially installed. Hopefully these signals remain unchanged for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm glad I was able to record them when I did. It's nice getting another GS Type 1 filmed as well. It seems the closer signal's gate arm also bonks the mast when it reaches the fully raised position.
