And, over a year later, I return to this crossing, showing that it still has a limp gate arm. At least the surrounding fall foliage looks nice:

Re: Gurley Pike, Gurley, AL
*originally recorded on 6-29-25*
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and a RECO gate light.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
After catching A23 in Woodville, I continued back west to Gurley, where I saw it was going to be meeting an eastbound at Asa. As such, I decided to head over to this crossing and wait, where, after a little while of waiting, I was able to catch my fourth and final train on this evening: NS 284 with a BNSF ES44DC leading a BNSF ES44C4. Definitely kinda amusing how all three of the trains I caught after 362 on this evening had all BNSF power. After this, I went on back home for the evening.
Since I was last here, it appears that NS replaced one of the gate lights on the far signal with an LED one. I'd thought it was both at first, but after rewatching my last video of this crossing, I saw that the tip one in that video was an LED at the time as well. Not entirely sure what brand(s) they are, so I'm just assuming they're RECO for now. Either way, nothing else appears to have changed to this crossing since I last recorded it.

Re: Gurley Pike, Gurley, AL
*originally recorded on 2-9-26*
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, a RECO LED gate light, an NEG LED gate light, and a RECO gate light.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
On February 9th, I decided to hop out and do a bit of local railfanning. As I was about to get going from my house, I heard what sounded like something going east through downtown over the scanner, with the local defect detector reading-out for it. As such, I decided to go east to Gurley and see what was coming. Sure enough, not long after I got here, I was able to catch my first train of the day: NS 286 with an AC44C6M leading an ES44DC for power.
As you can see, nothing has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it. I did confirm that the newer LED gate light on the far signal here is indeed an NEG LED gate light, however. The tip gate light is also a RECO LED still.
