Since it was mentioned that crossbucks with bells only would be allowed this month...

WRRS mechanical and cat's eyes...pretty cool, but something ain't right.

On the 2' gauge steam-powered tourist railway that runs around Thresherman's Park near Edgerton.

FAIL!

BTW, does the bell ring when there's a train nearby?

Yeah, I know. All the other crossbucks on the railroad are assembled correctly, including the other cat's-eye one at the same crossing (which doesn't have a bell).

The bell does work. There are no track circuits, and the bell is manually activated by an operator in the depot building when the train approaches. However sometimes if he/she isn't paying attention, the bell doesn't ring.

I've just got one thing to say to that.

:Censored:

I'm not sure yet if I mean that in a positive or negative way, though.

That definitely takes the cake this month. What a find!

Do you know if it is actually for a crossing or just a display? It appears pretty high up on the buidling when compared to the regular lighting on the side of the building.

It's for a private crossing. I'm guessing the signal was mounted at that height so semi trucks won't hit it.
