Re: Interesting light mounts on a traffic light...
Not to mention the traffic light turns into a lamppost mount at the top...

That is done very commonly here although usually it is just one long pole with the mounting hardware for a signal mast on it. See here.weatherdan882002 wrote:Not to mention the traffic light turns into a lamppost mount at the top...
You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

This extra mount was what I found interesting...

Personally I think an extra crossbuck near this set of lights would be a good idea as well.

Well,

Interesting. A crossbuck would help that look a little more normal... however it would still be a bit higher off the ground than where you would expect it to be.SirKrunch wrote:This extra mount was what I found interesting...

Still though... I like that idea betther than having a railroad cantilver with a traffic signal cantilever mounted directly in front of it. Case and point:

The right side mast light is completely blocked by the traffic signal... also, if you are driving a high profile vehicle (such as a school bus), the outside lights on the railroad cantilever are blocked by the traffic signal as well. Poor planning in my opinion!
