It surprises me just how many of the old 45-degree crossbucks are still in place on very active lines in Eastern states. Does anyone have an idea when they were removed from standards anyway?
These had to have been recycled from before... somehow I can't see that installation dating back far enough to 45-degree X-bucks being legal.
But what do I know... it's just a guess on my part.

No mast lights on the near side, and what's with the "rear" lights on the other side?!

45-degree crossbucks used to be everywhere in Wisconsin because the Milwaukee Road used them extensively on passive crossings. Now there are only six left standing along active rail lines in the whole state.
