New kid on the block ... with questions.

Well, here it is, my new acquisition, and something that I've sought for quite a few years. The bell works great, as do the lights. But this is all I have---no pole, no flasher, no gate mechanism. But that's okay. I want to make the best of what I have, and mount these components on a pole in my backyard (much to the chagrin of my wife, but she'll get over it.)
So I'd appreciate any and all advice: suggestions for the mast (4 inch steel pipe?) and where to get one; a flasher; power supply; or anything else you'd like to share with me regarding an outdoor display of my treasure.

I'm an HO railroad fan, but have very little knowledge of railroad crossings, per se, which is why I joined the forum. So please, take me under your collective wing and tell me how to create a tasteful backyard railroad crossing signal.

nice signals. I have a WRRS bell like that. Mine doesnt work too well.

I was amazed at how well it works connected to a 12-volt battery charger, and how simple the mechanism. My neighbors were expecting a train to come through.
