Electronic Bells

Ok, so here is a question.. not all electronic bells are the same, in fact with a tuned ear you could say they are all different. Now while the Safetran Type 1 might stand alone as being different I can not rule out that there are sometimes similarities between Safetran Type 2s,3s, General Signals E Bells, ASC Bells, and gosh maybe some WC Hayes bells I have heard. So here is my difficult question to ask:

Is there some shared sound chip information here? Is there a similar sound ship being used or made by someone for these different companies. (and yes, I understand ASC does not exist anymore as a bell maker as far as anyone knows)

im not sure, but what i would like to know is what kind of bell is recorded on the sound chip?

I would think that the same "chip" is being used. GS type 2 and US&S sound very close. Safetran type 2 and 3 (non high pitch) sound somewhat similar, but it could be the speaker they're using as well.
