Most complicated or unusual RR crossing you've seen?

In Oxnard, California, I discovered a complicated crossing where an east-west track veered slightly north to go down the center of and east-west street while crossing a five road intersection.
I'll try to find it on Googlearth.
There were crossing signals and gates all over the place, and, as an emergency vehicle driver instructor, I remarked to my passenger that it could easily be confusing to some drivers.

Anyone have any others?

Strange seeing only one crossing signal, with two lamps also pointing north, but no other signals or gates anywhere. Not even crossbucks. Do they even have any advance round (RXR) signs?
Also strange seeing the gate pointing AWAY instead of ACROSS our lane!

Obviously they simplified the crossing and it is now controlled only by the traffic signals.
The one gate remains in case someone tries to turn right on red.

Was much more interesting when I saw it back in the 1990s.
Wish there were photos of it then.

This intersection takes the cake in my hometown. Illinoistrains I'm sure is familiar with it.

While there could never be a train on the two tracks at the same time, I've seen people stop in the middle of the inactive crossing quite a bit when the other crossing is occupied. Each set of crossings operate independently... but in my opinion it should be set up like the crossing in Eureka, MO.

By the way, if you spin to your right, there was another crossing where those barricades are now. It had mast lights with no gates. And, spin around to your right more, and you will find 3 more mast lights for a side track that connects the east/west running track to the north/south running track.

Unfortunatley this neighborhood has gone downhill over the last 10 to 15 years, so it is not a very safe place to railfan anymore.

Hopefully the GE driver was proceeding southeast in the lane. Can one tell the direction of the vehicle?

I love that crossing. I only saw a train there once and that was about 3 years ago, i do have some pictures that i might submit for the next update. That crossing also has a no left and no right turn light

... I love those strange "singleye" lights. For years had seen them but never a train so had no idea what they did nor their color.
Also, I am fascinated with track crossovers and the physics involved and there is one right there.
Now if there were a semaphore or even just a signal and tornado siren nearby, it would have everything!

If I can get lucky and catch NS switching cars onto the IM tracks, I can get all 3 sets of signals in operation... not at the same time of course. They usually do it at night or very early in the morning... so my chances aren't good. But I will see what I can do!
