Dude!!! Very nice find!
That's the SP&S 700 and she shares space with the SP 4449 at the Brooklyn Roundhouse in SE Portland.
You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile .

Here's a neat find in Albuquerque, NM on Montano Rd.
The road looks like it was widened and the signals are in process of being replaced with BRIDGE CANTILEVERS!!! You can see both old and new....

Looks a bit excessive to me, but I can see the reason why it's being done...
If you take a look at the old equipment, the lights are 8". The replacement lights are 12"x24".

I wonder if the gates survived since they were already on a seperate mast from the old cantilevers. Looks like they would have to be made a bit longer though.
Edit: Oops... nevermind. I see there are new gate motors mounted on the back of the bridges.

Not exactly a crossing find but it's right next to a crossing!!! A YELLOW yield sign!!!
I thought all those had been removed.

Here's something I wasn't expecting to see... This is in Anchorage, AK... We've got 12x20 GRS LEX-C Lights and a possible quiet zone?? I only see the one flashing X box on the one signal....
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 61,,0,6.23
EDIT: Yes...this is...if you go futher down the line you see more flashing X boxes at crossings...I see wayside horns further down, but definately quiet zones!
