After I shot A81, I hopped over to Meridian Street for 286 again. After a little bit of waiting, I was able to catch NS 286 once again, this time rolling through downtown Huntsville.
Sometime earlier this year, and I believe relatively recently, the cantilever on the far side of this crossing was replaced entirely by the brand new one, and the closer signal was given a full LED upgrade as well. Not entirely sure when this happened or why, but I'm guessing either the foundation of the old cantilever needed replacement or it was hit by a car. Definitely a bit of an unexpected upgraded though, and now there are four LED crossings in a row here in Huntsville. The crossings through downtown Huntsville are definitely quite a bit different now from how they were back in 2016.
