No changes here as of May 6th, also featuring my WRRS mini-bell this time around (along with the opposite side of the crossing):

*originally recorded on 11-1-20*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

This was the last crossing I caught NS 732 at. I probably could've chased it a bit further west into Huntsville, but as they were meeting another train at Elko, I decided to hang out here after it passed and see about recording the other train they met at Sullivan Street. Sadly, it turned out that the other train in question was actually NS 23N, which was working the storage track at Elko, so I eventually decided to just give up waiting on that one and head home. Was certainly still a successful day of railfanning though, if I do say so myself.

Interestingly enough, since I last recorded this crossing, NS has gone through and upgraded the gate lights on the closer signal to LED. Thankfully, nothing else has changed here from what I see, and these classic signals get to live on without any major changes. I will admit I'm especially grateful for that, given the fact that this is the last fully 8 inch crossing on the NS Memphis District East End.

Managed to catch this crossing running on batteries on 7-22-23. No changes had occurred to the equipment here though, nor have any changes occurred since.
