Not here in 'Bama! This state has been going with the 16 inch peds since the 70s or 80s! Though Athens, AL has a few in service, along with Decatur, AL and Alexander City, AL, and there used to be some near my house here in Huntsville, AL (though they've since been replaced with 16 inch countdown LED peds). Selma, AL also has a pair in service, and I'm willing to bet that the ones on Redstone Arsenal were originally worded (they now have LEDs). Lanett, AL has an abandoned pair, and Fort Payne, AL also has one that's been abandoned (though is heavily damaged so I can't tell if it was originally worded or not). Though it appears they were quite popular in Tennessee in the past.

Also, here's a TSI 4-way signal in Piedmont, AL that I wasn't aware existed!

Alabama seems to have a lot of classic signals and signs!

It's called "a lack of money".

And that lack of money can bite them in the long run when these signals start to malfunction or need replacement.

We have 2 different warning blank out LEDs. One you can find anywhere (train), and one were you can only see in Los Angeles, and Las Vegas (bus).

I was at Disney in Orlando over the weekend. There is always some construction going on somewhere on the property. In the area that is now Disney Springs (used to be called Downtown Disney) they are re-doing the main road. It now has dedicated bus lanes that runs in between the main traffic lanes, and the buses have their own signals as shown in the link below.

Hard to get a good shot of them as this area is still under construction, and Streetview has only been through a part of the new open area.

But the bus traffic lights are all white, and have the a horizontal line (-) for stop and a vertical line (|) for go. The "yellow" light is a white triangle that flashes. For an intersection where the bus has to turn, the "line" for go points in the direction the bus has to turn... for instance \ for left and / for right.

Obviously, they did not do traditional GYR lights so as to not confuse regular cars on the main roads. Pretty interesting!

You'll see those indications used on light-rail systems as well. It appears the stop and go indications were based on Semaphore/Position-Light signals used by railroads, or the Alder lenses that were used in some places many years ago.

Those indicators are used along the TECO Streetcar Line in Tampa, although they are tied to the pedestrian signals. The ones in Tampa will flash in sync with the stop hand of the pedestrian signals.
