I don't mean to sound rude but I don't know much about stuff like that. I've thought about uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome again.

Just Google Chrome.

It is almost as if features are becoming unavailable to me one at a time!

Have you tried clearing out your cookies?

Clearing cookies/cache definitely helps here.
