Railroad crossing signals with traffic signal lights.

If I had to take I guess I would say that they might have been used on the street running line in downtown Tampa a long time ago.

Nope, not at all. The traffic signal poles in downtown Tampa date back to the 1970s, and I'm sure the Harmon signals there either date back to the those as well, or at least the 80s. Plus, those bases were never common-use in Florida until the mid-2000s, and tunnel visors were not common until the 90s/2000s.

Then probably what happened was that Busch Gardens wanted to have full scale signals and getting miscellaneous traffic signal and railroad crossing parts and assembling them was close enough.

It also makes me wonder if the LEDs in them are original too, or if they were incandescent at one point.

This post is kind of a continuation of the 'Traffic light lights?' thread created by David.

This is pretty crazy! This line appears to use almost nothing but these! These look like the same lights that the Crab Orchard and Egyptian railroad used on several of their crossings. I'm surprised that we didn't know about this before! Especially sense there have been crossings on this line or a connecting line in the area that have crossings that we've posted here on the forum in the past!

Those are some dwarf signals being used as pedestrian signals. It's something that the Reading liked to do back in the day.
