Kind of interesting how the mast lights are also rear lights for the entire signal and the cantilever lights are also the front lights for the entire signal!
Appears to be due to the utility poles. The rear lights don't have to be mounted on the overhead so they aren't, while the front lights have to be to be seen. Similar to this signal except with a cantilever: https://www.google.com/maps/@46.8671288 ... 312!8i6656

It seems to not be uncommon in Ontario and Quebec for weird and unusual setups and mounting for railroad crossing lights due to an obstruction, that is something that I've noticed.

Could also be a US&S and/or a GRS cantilever as well.
Is there any differences?
Other than the branding on the cantilevers for the splice boxes, not really. They appear to have been manufactured by some third-party company, as I've seen Peerless Manufacturing, GRS, Griswold, US&S, WRRS, and Transport Products Corp. all branded on these.

Ok, CN mostly buys Safetran (Siemens), GS and WCH, i can guess they are Griswolds since there are many RACo/Safetran equipment on CN's tracks in Québec
An easy indicator on the manufacturer (from Street View) is if the cantilever has the original lights on it, too. However, because of the signal(s) you've posted having after-market light installs, it's really difficult to tell for sure.
