Too bad it's difficult to tell the difference from Street View between NEG and Safetran, although I wanna say NEG paints the bells to be slightly darker than what Safetran did.

That's probably due to the fact that NEG e-bells are newer than Safetran Type 2s. How I tell is that if you can go back in time and find a different bell at the crossing (if the crossing isn't obviously brand new), then it's an NEG.

Plus it's cheaper for the railroads to install e-bells than to keep fixing mechanical bells, I bet. Also, CSX is anything but lazy on the S&NA North Sub. If they were lazy, we'd still have a lot more older equipment along the line, especially from the L&N and SBD.
