here we have a mini bell AND a WCH M bell on pedestrian gates! none on the road signals.

Exactly, I was going to say that too. For bells that are on the Gate Mast, they are a target for vandalism. Thats why I like them better up on the signals.

I voted mast only because that's they way CSX does it out here, although NS has em mostly on the cantilevers themselves...I like the look of them on the mast better
