There is a crossing somewhere on the site that has the :redx: without wayside horns.

As an Operation Lifesaver Presenter, during my cab ride in Amtrak from Irving to San Diego, we went through Encinitas.
Seemed so strange looking out into front yards along a street so close to the tracks in the middle of town - doing 90 mph!

(On this section I recall two other grade crossings which are now apparently removed.)
Notice the sign warning semi drivers and the gouges in the pavement.
A trailer was hit at one of these crossings.

What is with the thinner gates?

The engineer started blowing for a double crossing as we rounded a gentle right curve, unable to see what was ahead because of trees and foliage.
By the time one could see if the crossing signals were NOT functioning, at arrival at the crossing we could probably have reduced speed to 89 mph.

Celebrating his high school graduation a moron got drunk and gave his girlfriend a ride on his back.
To give her a good scare, with her protesting and trying to get off, he stepped onto the tracks when the crossing signals activated.
The Darwin Award winners were smacked into oblivion at 90 mph.
Wonder if parents tried to sue the railroad.
