Two possibilities:
1. There used to be a spur track there and the crossbuck was never removed.
2. That crossbuck is being used as an "advance warning sign" (which I have seen before).

Also, the Teardrop and Mini-bells should go into the appropriate threads.

Also, did you notice the mini-bell at this crossing? I'm willing to bet that the signals had 8 inch lights in the past.
They/Them for me, please.

I'm pretty sure that signal in the middle link has a mini bell on it too. Better view at this angle: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.3368447 ... 1664?hl=en

Came across this neat crossing in Dunkirk, NY. Still has 8 inch lights as of 2 years ago... and check out the 4 ped gates, each with it's own bell! https://www.google.com/maps/@42.480305, ... !1e1?hl=en. Signals are in real good shape... just recently painted. Notice that the ped gates all have 2 lights as well. Would love to see this crossing in action.

This crossing a few blocks over still has 8 inch lights as well. Here is a video of it in action. This city really likes it's pedestrian gates, almost all of the crossings have them!

This Crossbuck-yield combination use to be a signal. Or still is depending on which way you look at it. https://www.google.com/maps/@43.4106603 ... 6656?hl=en

Western Cullen-Hayes E-Bells in Michigan! https://www.google.com/maps/@43.4118308 ... 6656?hl=en https://www.google.com/maps/@43.4118308 ... 6656?hl=en I've posted this crossing in this thread before, but I came across it again and noticed that two of the signals have Western Cullen-Hayes E-Bells.

Why is there two cantilevers? https://www.google.com/maps/@43.4079759 ... 6656?hl=en https://www.google.com/maps/@43.4079759 ... 6656?hl=en

I'm pretty sure that the second-one (which has a WRRS mini-bell, BTW :TUP2: ) is the original one, and when the railroad installed new signals, they left that one in place since the other one had to be so far back from the crossing.

This cantilever appears to have been damaged by the tornadoes on April 27th, 2011:

Looks to be just the railing that is damaged, the structure survived. Still, it should be a pretty easy fix and it's been 4 years. :glare:

Reminds me of this traffic light cantilever where I used to live. It was hit by an oversize truck around Christmas 2012. Left just a stub, and as you can see, the city of Springfield just slapped a few lights on what was left. Still was like that in Sept 2014 when Streetview came through again.
