The first crossing pops up just right next to Cranbourne Railway Station where an All-Change will happen.
Cranbourne, VIC
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.101 ... 312!8i6656
The signal on the left unsurprisingly has Alstom LED's in them?

https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.106 ... 328!8i1664
The bell there could be either a Modern Industries mechanical bell or either a Safetran or Griswold mechanical bell! It has been repainted though. These signals were removed a few years ago.

https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.116 ... 312!8i6656
The bell there is a Westinghouse Teardrop Bell! These signals were removed a few years ago for a road expansion for a housing estate.
Clyde, VIC
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.127 ... 328!8i1664
Approximately 70% of the crossing equipment had vanished when the street view car came by in 2008, the bell i am thinking could be Westinghouse of McK&H

Tooradin, VIC
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.169 ... 328!8i1664
Just a simple Give Way crossing.
Fast forward to 2010, there is a crash barrier protecting the eastbound tracks and a 2014 shot of the crossing shows a access gate to the west with a sign saying "NO UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS"

Dalmore, VIC
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.181 ... 328!8i1664
Once again, another Give Way crossing, fast forward to June 2014 and the "NO UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS" gate has popped up again.

And that is when the tracks end. It would've been for a freight railroad as there aren't any passenger stations across the way. :OhWell:

EDIT: spaced out all crossings to avoid confusion.
That's the South Gippsland line! All the crossings (with the exception of the South Gippsland Highway crossing in Cranbourne) had their signals removed and tracks paved over in 2013. I've posted these before, FYI. I remember driving over a few of these crossings. The last passenger train to & from Leongatha ran in 1993, and the last freight train ran in 1998.

Here's the rest of the crossings along the line up to Nyora.

This one in Koo Wee Rup (I drove over this one several times) had a Teardrop bell and GRS XB/XD lights!
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.199 ... 312!8i6656

They built a rail trail in the area in 2012, but the signals remained for a little while longer.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.199 ... 312!8i6656

Here's an old station platform, it has since been fenced off.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.199 ... 312!8i6656

The next two crossings down the line were passive.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.220 ... 328!8i1664
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.244 ... 328!8i1664

This one in Lang Lang had a Teardrop bell, and a tall mast with lights above the crossbuck. Both signals were missing SORS signs, and one signal was missing a crossbuck.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.264 ... 312!8i6656

Interestingly enough, this semaphore signal and the old station platform still remain.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.264 ... 312!8i6656

This crossing outside of Lang Lang was a more recent setup, but was probably the worst surviving of all the crossings! I presume that the bell here was a Westinghouse hybrid.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.274 ... 328!8i1664

The line between Nyora and Leongatha was used as a tourist line for several years, but the railroad went belly up early last year. In fact, this crossing in Leongatha had it's signals removed and tracks paved over last year due to a road upgrade.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.475 ... 312!8i6656

Some other classic signals between Nyora and Leongatha.

Turner Street, Leongatha (Teardrop bell, also has an old passive crossing sign).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.472 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.472 ... 312!8i6656

Warragul Road, Korumburra (Another Teardrop bell, I believe there used to be a wig wag here once upon a time).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.427 ... 312!8i6656

Korumburra-Bena Road, Bena (this crossing has a hybrid bell).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.415 ... 328!8i1664

There's also this crossing in Nyora that was downgraded from signals to crossbucks when the line was handed over to the SGR.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.333 ... 312!8i6656

There's loads of locals who want the line reopened and the Leongatha train service to return, so all these classic signals would probably be replaced if they do so.

Some defunct crossings i stumbled across in Indianapolis, Indiana. The crossings were owned by CSX, which is quite strange for them to abandon this line. A rail trail was built near the abandoned tracks at least 10 years ago.

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7962338 ... 312!8i6656
The crossing here has a RRS (Not to be confused with WRRS) Mechanical Bell! The left signal however has seen better days.

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7977239 ... 312!8i6656
Quite an unusal setup, lights being held with a clamp style bracket, all the lights IIRC are Safetran 12x24 inch lights. The signal on the right has its lights facing in odd directions!
One is pointing up all the way to the sky and the other one is staring at the sidewalk!

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7940049 ... 312!8i6656
This signal has been overtaken by nature! The lights appear to be WRRS 8' inch lights.

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7921799 ... 312!8i6656
Same setup, but the tree is starting to cover up the signal!

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7903458 ... 312!8i6656
Two lights on equal sides? Yet again just one lone signal, i can't work out the lights unfortunately, they are in a relatively good condition though, but the base is on a slight lean.

And yet again, another lone signal, but with a surprise!
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7883542 ... 312!8i6656
The lights appear to be Harmon 8 inch lights? To your left, there is a No Left Turn crossing light! However, it has seen better days.

I'll be editing the post along the way.

I'm surprised the signals are still there when the tracks are long gone and the grass where the tracks were is still maintained! I wonder if these signals have been purposely kept there?

This was already posted a while back, but, along the same line:

And my Flickr album of the above crossing:

(It was seeing it here that led me to the crossing in the first place!)
