Those lights look quite shiny and reflective (not only for their age, but also with the lack of tracks), so I'd definitely say that's a sign of deliberate preservation. :TUP1:

Old NP Mainline to Canada. Tracks end about 3 blocks south of this location. Don't know why this signal was modernized as the line was gone probably a year after they put it in..
