Interesting setup in San Jose, California:

This pedestrian signal with a gate has 8 inch LED lights. Also, not sure why the extra signal and gate for that driveway when all people can do there is turn right (away from the tracks).

The location of the bells being above the lights is actually starting to become common. I'm assuming that it's louder down there.

Yes... I thought the same thing! I thought the one in Birmingham was "home made" but it appears not.
