Depending on how long the line has been out of service, it may have never seen a CSX train at all; CSX still does own former railroad right-of-way in a lot of spots including those served by its predecessors. However, I'd think it's safe to say that it has considering the condition of the signals and the tracks not being viciously overgrown.

It at least had been "in service" long enough for several of the signals to be early 2000s installs.

Not sure on why this Mast Mount is place so high than you typically see a crossing mount on the other side of the crossing.

Normally you would see something like this if the land elevation is steep, but the landscape is near flat.

My guess would be for clearance? The signal is very close to the road. Having the lights high up would avoid them getting sideswiped by most vehicles. Cheaper than a cantilever.
