I still don't understand multiple links to the same crossing.
Just link one and tell us what to look for, after all takes up less space.

Found more abandoned tracks:
The crossing is still used by an active rail-line but the rails were cut at a former diamond near-by. The tracks shown I believe are abandoned.
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.446774,- ... 95,,0,1.49
The tracks shown that are cut have been restored to service and the "active" rail line is now out of service.
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.446591,- ... 82,,0,3.92
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.446952,- ... 9&t=h&z=21
Looking on satellite view shows that the lights have been removed and the crossing was paved over although the cantilevers still remain:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.449699,- ... 5,,0,-2.44
Same with this near-by crossing except that the crossing wasn't paved over.
This crossing was left alone:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.451127,- ... 1,,0,14.04
All of the lights have been removed from this crossing, but the masts still stand. It is unknown if the bell is still there:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.451916,- ... 2,,0,-1.85
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.452179,- ... 5,,0,-1.12
The crossbuck, or at least it's post, is still there:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.453554,- ... 32,,0,3.71
The stop signs were removed:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.455315,- ... 3,,0,11.21
Satellite view shows that these cantilevers were on borrowed time:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.456484,- ... 9,,0,-1.85
Different line:
Tracks were removed just to West of the crossing:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.551764,- ... 13.55&z=19
https://maps.google.com/?ll=35.551882,- ... ,8.58&z=19

If you move up to the 2nd set of signals in that picture, they were active. Not sure if it was a malfunction or what... could not see a train in either direction.

Quite a contract in scenes. Looks as though today the tracks are now further north, now on the other side of I-40. And it appears I-40 has moved a few blocks south.

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 46,,0,6.96
Click around a little bit on the arrows and you get an updated view from May 2012, showing that the cantilevers were still there, but the track ends at the crossing, with no rails extending from the pavement east of there.
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 22,,1,3.57
Found another crossing to the east of it:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,4.19&z=20
This cantilever appears to be missing its gate:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... -3.19&z=20
According to the 2007 Google Streetview, the tracks ended right about
here.
Another line:
The tracks were cut at the diamond that used to be next the crossing:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,0.39&z=20
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ornia&z=20
To the north:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,6.24&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,2.54&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,5.07&z=18
I wonder how many signals were originally here:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 0,0.1&z=19
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 10.34&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,3.51&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,2.44&z=18
There was once signals at this crossing:

Found some signals that were left:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,-3.8&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... -6.22&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,6.44&z=19
There was signals here:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 25.16&z=19
Yard Limit sign?
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,8.68&z=19
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,8.87&z=19
There were signals here too:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 17.19&z=19
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,13.7&z=19
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 11.21&z=21
To the south:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 43,,0,1.76
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 64,,0,5.85

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 1,,0,-7.41
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 77,,0,5.27
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 35,,0,8.87
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 3,,0,13.07
What is this?
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 1,,0,12.09
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 65,,0,1.46
Abandoned cantilever:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 6,,0,-8.48
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,4.68&z=19
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 10.82&z=19
I think the line goes back in service to the south and it definately goes back in service to the north because of
this. Although, they will nee to re-install signals
here.
Was once a spur:

What is "this" supposed to be? I see nothing but a blank Google Map with a RR running through it. Many abandoned lines still show up on Google like that.

Ther is a pair of out of service tracks at this crossing:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,7.78&z=20
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 10.47&z=20

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,4.33&z=19
Just one this time:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... ,6.13&z=20
