Yes, the line is still active, but from what I understand, it rarely sees any traffic.

Though technically not a crossing, this pier in Geelong has a Teardrop Bell that was used to alert workers of train movement (this line has been abandoned for years though). This is the best image I could find on Google Maps. The bell is mounted on the post, just above the yellow sign:
