It's an ASC e-bell from the side the sound is projected out. This crossing is on the site.

I did not know that Union Pacific or any other class one railroad uses cab signals for crossings. I guess they did this because the crossing is on a spur? :Blink:

Also notice in that older picture there used to be a mechanical bell on the signal on the main road. They removed that at put the E-bell on the new signal.

Yea, that makes sense. And the front lights on the gate mast would be for cars between the cantilever and the gate.
