So I did end up going to Dock Link Road today and I can confirm that it still does have the two WCH mechanical bells and the crossing further up the road still has the Westinghouse hybrid bells.
Sadly though, I could only take pictures/videos of the equipment on the crossing as for some reason even after and hour and a half there was no train in sight...! So I decided that I’d come back a different day.
Idk if it was just me being an idiot or it was the train, but I followed this second link and tried to get the 2:00pm train (arrival) instead of the 11:15am train (departure) in the other link.

It says that the train is supposed to arrive at this time, but maybe I read the wrong link Andrew it actually arrives at 11:15am that the other link states:

Could anyone that properly understands timetables confirm this please?
Btw, immediately surrounding the Bear street crossing in Mordialloc was baracades and there were construction workers doing some sort of work on the crossing, but the crossing itself worked fine when trains passed through. I wonder what Metro’s doing to it, it could possibly be resurfacing of the crossing, NBN, or gate mech replacement as it does have old Westinghouse gate mechs.
I did see this crossing malfunction about a month ago as well, an X’trapolis train on platform 1 needed to reverse so it could go back into the sidings and just after the train cleared the crossing and the gates started to go back up, the bells began ringing again and before the hate could finish going back up, it started descending then immediately started going back up then completely shutting off. Must’ve been something with the track circuits.
