Here's a crossing in Michigan that appears to have come back from the dead.

Very nice! Same type of thing (although not to that scale) happened in Illinois a few years back. More than likely, I've posted it before, but can't remember.

Anyhow... this is at a power plant east of Pawnee IL... they hadn't used the crossing in years because the coal cars are unloaded just off of the main line and the coal is moved over the road by conveyor belt. Sometime in 2012 they decided to re-open the crossing and put in new signals with gates.

Before in 2007: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.590253, ... 1664?hl=en
After in 2013: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.590253, ... 6656?hl=en

Here is where they usually unload the cars (which it appears they are doing in this shot): https://www.google.com/maps/@39.5901967 ... 6656?hl=en
The coal goes down a very long conveyor belt and up over the road here: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.590225, ... 6656?hl=en

The Delhi Wig-Wag is probably the most remote Wig-Wag in the United States. The Delhi Wig-Wag has always been one of my favorite Wig-Wags.
