Yea, the UK still has a large number of crossing with wishbone gates at them, especially older AHB installs. Not as common as their newer rounded single-arm counterparts, but a lot more common than here in the US. Here's also an MCB-CCTV (Manually Controlled Barriers monitored with CCTV cameras) crossing with Field & Grant wishbone gates, which are much less common than the NRS(?) (National Railway Supplies) AHB (Automatic Half Barrier) wishbone gates you posted above:

It's not really much of the Wishbone gates because I know half of UK crossings are Wishbones, but it's the wooden base that the Wishbone gates are attached to is what got me interested.

I want to say that they use a concrete post that the gate mechanisms are attached to. At least some of them do, that's for sure.
