Wow, those signals almost look like they could be operating on battery power!freebrickproductions wrote:Yet another:

These appear to be custom made and not "real" units form a railroad.
Yeah, I kinda figured it was on AC power when I moved forward and saw the bungalow up aheadfreebrickproductions wrote:I think it's just the angle of the shot:ZachL wrote:Wow, those signals almost look like they could be operating on battery power!freebrickproductions wrote:Yet another:

Either it got damaged by a car, or CSX just felt like replacing it. Oddly enough, other than the gate mechanisms (and possibly the bell), the signals look to be a late 1990s/early 2000s CSX set-up. The gate mechanisms replaced some WCH gate mechs sometime between 2009 and 2011.ZachL wrote:Yeah, I kinda figured it was on AC power when I moved forward and saw the bungalow up aheadfreebrickproductions wrote:I think it's just the angle of the shot:ZachL wrote:Wow, those signals almost look like they could be operating on battery power!freebrickproductions wrote:Yet another:

That's weird though. I wonder why the relay case there got replaced by a bungalow, but not the signals.
Nice find, that crossing was recently upgraded with gates.freebrickproductions wrote:Also, here's an active crossing in NSW, Australia:
