Ahhh... Arkwrights, the boutique on the right is the storefront that was used to film the TV sitcom Open All Hours from 1973 to 1985, AFAIK, the filming scenes are carried out in the summer. The boutique got around almost 3 decades of rest until BBC decided to revive the series in 2013. Filming scenes are carried out there again.

I wonder whether this must boost the amount of fans that show up to their door either to get their hair done or just to glimpse at what the store looks like when not in use by the BBC.

(And yes, a boutique does not mix with a barbers)

On a similar note, this is the street which doubles up for Ramsay Street in the Australian TV soap opera Neighbours. The street is called Pin Oak Court in reality and is located in the Melbourne suburb of Vermont South.

While external scenes on Ramsay Street are shot at the actual cul-de-sac and each home's front and back gardens, the interior scenes are filmed at Fremantle Media Australia's Nunawading Studios (ironically located in the suburb of Forest Hill).

There's also an older style GIVE WAY sign at the exit of the studios.

Hard to tell but it looks like GSV caught the BBC filming an episode of it.

This would definetly be a nice place to live. Especially that it's designed in the shape of a wagon wheel.

Judging by that, it's quite close to a good few ponds, a lake too, and a swamp down here. I'm guessing they were not interested in that part due to the concern of harming wildlife, or they didn't want to go overbudget.

Or the great recession hit and the plans for finishing it were indefinitely put on hold...
