The 1980 film, Used Cars, features a scene where one of the characters jumps over a moving train at a railroad crossing with a 70s Safetran install with 8 inch lights and a 2nd Gen Safetran mechanical bell mounted on a 5 inch adapter, strangely, it appears:

Per a video by AZDOT, the road that was filmed on was AZ 79. I believe the crossing it was shot at was this one, as the bell is mounted the same way, though the line it's on is now sadly OOS:

In Series 11, Episode 6 of Top Gear, Brayford level crossing can be briefly seen active in the background whilst Clarkson & May are looking for a place to charge their electric cars in Lincoln. - (4:42)

The area surrounding the crossing has changed significantly since the episode was aired in 2011.

Another observation in an episode of Top Gear, this time from 2005. In the episode where Jeremy (in a Bugatti Veyron) races James & Richard (In a light aircraft) from Turin, Italy to Tower 42 in London, there is a short scene showing Jeremy stuck at a railway crossing in France (although incorrectly he labels the country as Switzerland)
- [3:05]

Thankfully, the 'Top Gear Locations' website, the location of where Jeremy was is Chamonix, with the crossing located adjacent to Les Tines railway station.

"Schoolgirls In Chains” 1973. Very messed up movie but look at these gates! They even used the real recording of the teardrop bell at the crossing!

Another crossing observed in Top Gear, this time with an episode from 2013.

In a challenge where Jeremy & James test crossover utility vehicles to find out which would best suit a caravanner. A driving scene features Milford Station level crossing can briefly be seen, with the shot taken from the stations footbridge.

The setup at the time lasted all the way up until last year, when the crossing was upgraded to an MCB-OD2 setup.
