These ones that get integrated at/near intersections with traffic signals do interest me. Personally, I still think separate red flashing light signals should be in place for additional warning, but whatever. I guess that's why I'm not a traffic engineer at the DOT. :D

A friend of mine saw the "upgraded" one over my shoulder as I was looking at it. Her term she used was "janky". LOL

Personally... traffic is more prone to stop for a red traffic light than they are for a crossing signal (as we all well know). So, I think having crossing signals in addition to traffic lights on a rarely used line is a bit of overkill... such as on the link you posted. The bell is good primarily for warning pedestrians.

Actually, that's the rare Westinghouse version! All Australian Teardrops made in the mid to late 1970's had that logo on them.
