Looks like they use a traffic signal at this crossing because of the pub right next to the crossing. The pub is named The Station Inn and has a steam engine on their sign, I thought that was pretty cool. https://www.google.com/maps/@52.5034986 ... !1e1?hl=en

Huh, didn't notice that!
Also, it looks like the crossing is active because Network Rail is out doing some work at it:

This intersection in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, Australia uses some UK style crossing signals to stop traffic for emergency vehicles from a nearby ambulance station:

They also look like HAWK beacons here in the US, which are typically used at crosswalks but the city of Huntsville also tried them out at fire stations (hint: they didn't work).

In my hometown of Springfield, Illinois there is a bar/restaurant called (appropriately) the "Track Shack". Food is not bad... and from what I have heard every once in awhile they will give free drinks out for every train that goes by in a certain amount of time.

Glad to see that Conrail left the mechanical bells there!

Apparently the signal with the Safetran Type 3 has had quite a few changes over the years. First off in 2007, it had what appears to be a RACO mechanical bell:
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.2372139 ... 328!8i1664
Then it got replaced with a General Signals:
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.2372188 ... 312!8i6656
And now it's a Safetran Type 3:

Taking bets now as to what it'll have for the bell when Google goes back through in 2018. :LOL3:
