The car gave him the idea... he was behind the Google car initially. :LOL2:

It appears the engineers don't give a darn because here it is happening a 2nd time at about the 1 minute mark:

Looks like another WCH mechanical bell: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.284 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.284 ... 312!8i6656

Found another further down the line: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.307 ... 312!8i6656

...And another: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.427 ... 312!8i6656

Take a look at this crossing that runs through a roundabout: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.201 ... 312!8i6656
This is what the crossing look like before barriers were added: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.201 ... 312!8i6656
An older shot: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.201 ... 328!8i1664
What the...: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.201 ... 328!8i1664

Just further up the line: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.189 ... 312!8i6656

Seems Mildura is the home to odd looking crossing signals: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.235 ... 312!8i6656

Forget what I said about Mildura, this has to be the stupidest looking signal I've ever seen: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-35.079 ... 312!8i6656

A crossing in which one track leads to a grain siding: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-36.622 ... 312!8i6656
You can also tell it has Safetran M-Bells: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-36.622 ... 312!8i6656

Barnesville, Georgia: Extra median signal and gate added for a left turn lane.
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0397524 ... 6656?hl=en

Active 8 inch crossing:
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0558878 ... 6656?hl=en

Not sure why both signals are on the same side here... there's room for the first signal to be on the "normal" side: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0547131 ... 6656?hl=en

One light is turned... looks like it may have got hit by an over-sized vehicle. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0545176 ... 6656?hl=en
Was fixed when Streetview came through in 2016 though. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0545995 ... 6656?hl=en

Classic signals: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0642984 ... 6656?hl=en

An older cantilever and still some 8 inch lights left in Forsyth, GA: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0373096 ... 6656?hl=en

More classics: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0350995 ... 6656?hl=en.
The signal on the left has a bit of lean to it... appears to have been like that for awhile. They took the time to paint it in the last few years, but not straighten it up. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0349605 ... 6656?hl=en

Something's missing here: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0263565 ... 6656?hl=en
Still like that a month later: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0264353 ... 6656?hl=en

Another oops: https://www.google.com/maps/@32.9534632 ... 6656?hl=en
Appears this signal gets "bumped" alot. https://www.google.com/maps/@32.9534046 ... 6656?hl=en

8 inch Lex-C's on a crossing in Indiana. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4545111 ... 312!8i6656
Above image was from 2013. Based on the 2015 image from the main road, I'm thinking they have been replaced. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4530723 ... 312!8i6656

South Carolina... it almost looks like it is mad (for being hit). https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6965214 ... 312!8i6656

Looks to be a RACO cantilever too! The overhead lights are Safetran 12x20s though:

It also has a WRRS mechanical bell, making it an all original GRS signal from the Southern Railroad! Nice find!
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0351005 ... 6656?hl=en
The other two signals have a mixture of cast-iron WRRS and Safetran 8 inch lights, interestingly enough.
There appears to have originally been two tracks here. One appears to have originally been from the Southern Railroad and is now torn up, and the other appears to have been from the Central of Georgia Railroad, which probably explains the mixture of equipment. That, or the GRS signal was installed by the Southern as a replacement for a CoG signal that got knocked down. The crossing still had a white DOT tag, interestingly enough:

They/Them for me, please.

Looks like this crossbuck is originally from Canada! One of the crossbuck pieces appears to have had its red outline painted over. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0547964 ... 6656?hl=en

I'm not so sure on that...Canadian crossbucks don't have the red line disappear in the center like that, plus the red line is thicker than that too.
Crossing pictures from Plant City, FL are finally here! viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2538

I think they could have partly painted over it. I don't know why they would do that though.
