Fun fact: I was actually in this area last year when I went on vacation!

It kind of makes me wonder why workers decide to downgrade an intersection from functional traffic lights to stop signs though.

Probably due to lack of road traffic or effiency purposes
FDOT did waste a lot of money upgrading the signals only to be used for flashing red usage. (Link 3)

Because... they installed a set of traffic signals, then depending however long they were there the city then decided to remove them!

I do not know if it could've been some sort of experiment... but again i do not know!

Edit: Now when i think of it, i clearly see a Detour sign that i did not notice initially, i assume the signals were probably installed for that reason, but i do not know why it was setup like that for such a small road.

Guess we've hit a double-edged sword then! I honestly thought the signals were the newer image than with the stop signs.
