Something has got to give soon, or else we will be creeping into the $5.00 range.

Someone needs to come up with a better alternative fuel fast then. Experts are predicting $5/gallon gas within the end of the summer.

I was in Chicago all of last weekend. Most of their stations, especially in the heart of Chicago were around $4.30 to $4.60 depending on where you were. One station had premium gas at $4.80!
I was smart and filled up before we got to town and drove the whole weekend on that tank of gas. Didn't fill up until I got back home and paid
only $3.83.

Still 3.68 for Ethanol at the Dahl's Fuel next to the Dahl's Foods I'm currently working at in Des Moines. Thankfully this is my last week training there before I am transferred to Ames again. it's a 20 mile round trip working in Ames, and 92 mile round trip at the Des Moines store I train at. And no, they aren't reimbursing us for fuel cost, nor are they really paying the management much more than the grunts either. *sigh* $13 a day for gas is a real pain in the b

llsack when you only make $10/hour.
Meanwhile, Ames is averaging from 3.70 - 3.80. However Hy-Vee is currently giving a 7 cent/gallon discount on gas with store purchase @ Hy-Vee gas.
