A bit off topic, but I thought this was interesting. This is just south of Willitis. Defunct crossing with rather modern cantilevers, 12X20 lights, and... triangle gate motors on both sides!
A bit odd... wonder why the signal is installed so far away from the tracks? I'm guessing at one time there was additional tracks, but the signal is even further back than the equipment box.

Another pair on a spur with one signal having a regular crossbuck & Griswold Type B lights & the other has a cast iron crossbuck! http://g.co/maps/27meb

Pleasanton, CA on a UP Mainline! Street View image still shows the crossing having 8" lights, videos show the updated crossing with 12x24 LED's, but the teardrop remained in place. http://g.co/maps/dg8h3
Unfortuately, this recent video shows that it has gone dead
