Was looking around on Google Maps recently when I found this out of service branch line in Waynesboro, GA, that lead to a now torn-down plant. Here's the line starting from the junction heading east:
This first crossing is a private crossing that doesn't appear to be protected by anything:

The next crossing has just four tracks and a pair of crossbucks:

After that is a 1990s NS install with an extra pair of crossbucks at it, for some reason:

The final road the tracks cross is the US 25 Bypass, which features a pair of cantilever signals installed by NS in the 1990s, though the tracks have been removed from the crossing:

There used to be the original Safetran mechanical bell here, back in 2011:

But by 2012, it had been replaced with the current General Signals (Type 2?) electronic bell:

Not entirely sure why, as it appears that the line was already dead by then.

8" Gateless signals in Middleton, Tennessee:

Down the line in Walnut, Mississippi, There are a pair of 8" signals with split crossbucks:

The crossings past have no streetview or has no streetview when the signals were around. The line goes active after that.

Both are gone now, sadly.

(This was another post that got eaten by the forum earlier today.)
Here's an update to the out of service CSX Illinois Subdivision. Apparently they've started pulling the stored cars off of the line:

Several signalized crossings are shown in the video, though all of them are disconnected so they don't operate. I'll see about following the line on Google Maps and make a post about it later.

Also, this crossing in Chattanooga, TN appears to be out of service:

The standard Blue ENS DOT tags retain there too! :TUP2: But too bad it's out of service, as you see here:

I believe DOT tags still remain up-to-date so long as a line is not officially deemed "abandoned" which is different from out of service.
