None of those look like former signals.

Crossbuck-Only Cantilevers:

Bailey Av Chattanooga TN: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.0365279 ... 312!8i6656

McCallie Av Chattanooga TN: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.0387434 ... 312!8i6656

These two streets used to operate as a one'way pair. That explains the signal placement. The track is active. I suspect that the lights might have been removed when the streets became two way because they were too cheap to reconfigure the signal installations. I have one pic each of these crossings. If the admin is willing to allow them to be added to the site with only one pic, then let me know and I will send them.

If you can get more pictures, that'd be great, though if not, then I can go up there and get some shots as Chattanooga ain't too far from me. Also, I'm guessing the TVRM just couldn't afford (or be bothered) to reconfigure the crossings when they got changed to two-way, given the lack of attention given to the other crossings along their line.

Interesting...I could have easily assumed those crossings were out of service.

I live in Texas, and wont be going there anytime soon. Maybe next summer. If you want to go photograph them, go ahead. Also, some of the other Chattanooga crossings need to be updated. The Riverfront Pkwy crossing with lights on span wire has been eliminated. The SR 58 sign needs to be removed from the page. That section has been removed from the state highway system. The crossing on Amnicola Hwy at SR 319(Dupont Pkwy)needs more pics, and the SR 58 sign on the page needs to be replaced with an SR 319(secondary) sign. Amnicola highway west of this interchange has been removed from the state highway system, and has been re-numbered SR 319 east of it.

While you are at it, there are two more interesting crossing in this area. Where the beltline crosses Holtzclaw north of McCallie, there is a traffic signal controlled crossing with small red/green signals for the train. At the Holtzclaw/Wilcox intersection, the track crosses the intersection diiagonally, and it is only controlled by traffic signals

Those former US&S cantilevers still have the original cats-eye crossbucks underneath the newer crossbucks! Great find!
