"Burn baby burn, disco inferno"

The crossing in Sacramento with the "prototype" GS E-Bell had it's gate smashed and lights/ crossbuck/ bell rotated by the train.

There's also this classic scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind where an 8" signal nearly destroys itself.

That's what happens when the gate holder tries to act like a gate saver. :LOL3:

Found this one with one of Florida most problematic commuter railroads for accidents,

Upon impact, throw the videos speed into 0.25, as there is a frame that upon impact that the signal struck disconnects.

The real question to ask is did that semi seriously try to go around the gates.

Wouldn't be surprise if that's SunRail's largest accident to date.

There was a collision in October 2015 in which 8 passengers were injured when it struck a dump truck parked too close to the tracks.

Then in November 2017, a truck driver was killed when he was trying to park his trailer to deliver supplies, there was no other way than to proceed onto the tracks and back up.

https://youtu.be/q7XHq7dXpRQ High speed chase ended in the obliteration of a signal with a WCH mechanical bell in Miami, FL, back in January. :Curse1:
