According to the March 2013 minutes of the WRRTC (Wisconsin River Rail Transit Commission), sounds like the Madison-Fitchburg-Oregon line will be
reopened.
"(WSOR spokesman Ken)Lucht mentioned that WSOR's applications (mentioned in the February meeting)
had been submitted and equaled almost $45M
dollars in project funding (not including the UP line acquisition) [Reedsburg
Line not the Oregon-Fitchburg portion]. The biggest priority for 2014 (starting
in July '13)are the Prairie Sub
bridges and the rehabilitation of the Fitchburg/Oregon line to meet the needs of
an Oregon shipper who has already broken ground and
must ship by rail."

Perry Parkway probably won't see any trains, at least not in the immediate future. The rail customer will be north of there.

Fitchburg will. The trains will pass through there en route to the north side of Oregon from Madison.

I don't know, but they probably will. 12" x 24" L.E.D.s in Harmon or WCH frames are going up on everything these days.

Finally! The grant has been approved for the Madison-Oregon project. Over the last week or so, WSOR has cleared most if not all of the stored centerbeam flats from the line north of McCoy Road.
