What type of traffic lights are these, and are they common? (im not a expert on traffic lights :LOL3: )
I go by these all the time (they are still there,) but I haven't seen much of this type elsewhere.
Those are 3M signals!
How common are 3M signals now?
Not sure but they are no longer in production

What about the McCain PV signal?

What about the McCain PV signal?
Pretty much the unofficial successor to them. Unofficial in the sense that McCain pretty much started producing a variety of rear-projection signals without knowledge of 3M ceasing production of theirs. McCain's are still in production today/

IIRC, the McCain PV is essentially a reverse-engineered 3M with some McCain bits slapped on (for example, the part on the rear is just a standard 8 inch McCain housing, and the doors and visors are standard 12 inch McCain parts).

The patents from 3M must have expired for that to even happen. :LOL3:

What about them?
They are three aspect heads that are all facing downwards! Over here they are three aspected, but the bicycle light is to the right side.

Also for unknown reasons before these signals were upgraded, the LED traffic lights were downgraded to incandescent PEEK heads.

LEDs were awful quality though.

Not the first time i've seen signal heads downgraded.

On this street, i might've posted this before, these signals were LED heads, but in 2009 they were replaced by incandescent Microsense heads.
