Looking at the list of crossings, I noticed that most of the ones still in early planning are on the Frankston Line. It was interesting to read an article that says the line runs through some marginal electorates, and that many locals are against the proposed "skyrail" plans (they even have their own anti skyrail website http://noskyrailfrankstonline.org) I think it would be an eyesore, specially being so close to the water.

Yeah I like the name too, that's one crossing I would like to film. 500 cars is nothing, and they are not touching other crossings that are much busier. What a waste of money, of course there are politics involved, either that or they are just plain stupid. Even on streetview the road looks quiet.

Not to mention, that terrible accident that occurred at Union Road, Surrey Hills in September. I bet the Libs' will try to get rid of that crossing first thing if they get elected in the 2018 state election...
